I'm a UX Researcher and Games User Researcher with 15 years of experience designing and executing complex research initiatives.
I have experience across a variety of research methodologies, domains, product phases, and project scopes. I am comfortable leading projects independently, or working as a part of diverse teams. I have built sectors of expertise along the way (gaming, health, AI/ML/CV) and also a comfort with taking on challenges and developing new skills as required.
My core strength is in qualitative UX research and the ability to effectively integrate that base with prototyping and mixed-methods approaches to provide actionable insights.

Work Experience
Below is a collection of projects and initiatives that I have worked on. As a consulting researcher, the results from my work are proprietary so that means many of the best details are not included in my case studies. If you want to know more about a project or the impact I made on it, please reach out and I would be happy to show you more!

I spent 8 months embedded as the Senior Usability Researcher in the New Devices Group at Intel working on a set of smart sunglasses in development.

I followed the progress of 15 “creative gamers” over the course of a month to better understand their unique motivations and pain points. We used a combination of contextual interviews and diary study.

Completed a series of 7 playtests of the same mobile interactive fiction series. Each game playtested was based on the same evolving design elements, but built on a different piece of intellectual property.

Led extensive mixed-methods research to inform the development of health and wellness features for a major smartphone manufacturer. The research evolved from broad exploratory work into focused product development, spanning multiple phases over several months.

Tested 5x Roblox minigames games based on brands not primarily associated with video games (e.g. TMNT, Barbie, Walmart). The goal was to extract higher-level learnings about what makes for quality and compelling games based on brands.

Conducted field research with truck drivers to understand their mobile app usage patterns and needs across all aspects of their work life. Research was used to inform design of new unified trucker experience.

Delivered presentation at IOT World conference focusing on how to deliver on the promise and opportunity of voice-based experiences
